Santa Arrives in Mebane

Santa arrives in MebaneSanta Claus is making his arrival to Mebane at the Christmas Parade, but we know you want to see him from the comfort of your own home! Santa will be touring Mebane on Saturday, December 4th, 2021, and plans to visit as many neighborhoods as he possibly can! Santa will be waving hello to citizens and picking up letters written by you in the Santa Mailboxes around town.

Letters to Santa

Santa's mailboxWe want to make the holidays an exciting time for our #positivelycharming children in Mebane, so we are here to help.

The Mebane Recreation and Parks Department has made arrangements with the elves at the North Pole to accept mail for delivery to Santa. Have your children write a letter to Santa Claus, and in a few weeks, they will receive a letter from him in return!

Please be sure to include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the message. You can drop off letters between November 16 - December 9, 2021, at one of the three Letters to Santa mailboxes located at; Mebane Community Park, Mebane City Hall, or at the Mebane Arts & Community Center.

It's Snowing in Mebane

Snowing in MebaneSanta shops in Downtown Mebane; you should too! Bring your loved ones to downtown Mebane from November 26  - December 10, 2021 to enjoy holiday shopping and dining; and don't forget to participate in the "12 Stamps of Christmas" raffle!

Also, please join us at the pocket park, next to Plant Pure and Dollar General, for a Holiday Photo Opportunity with your family. Dress for the weather because it might be SNOWING!

Winter Wonderland Craft Show

The City of Mebane is proud to present the Winter Wonderland Craft Show. This is an annual event, held the Saturday before Thanksgiving, that showcases many local crafters, bakers and small home-based businesses.  It’s a great opportunity to start your holiday shopping.  It’s not just fun for the shopping enthusiast. Mark your calendar so you don’t miss the only indoor local craft fair! Mebane Recreation and Parks Department is dedicated to providing this program in a safe and fun environment.

Mebane Christmas Parade

The City of Mebane is proud to present the Mebane’s annual Christmas parade! The parade is held at night on the first Friday in December at 7pm in downtown Mebane. It is the areas only nighttime parade and is so much fun for the whole family. The parade has taken place for many years featuring over 100 entries including businesses, churches, school groups and so on.  We hope to have the the North Carolina A&T Band joining us again this year! The Mebane Recreation and Parks Department is dedicated to providing the parade in a safe and fun environment.
