Becca Liegey

Becca Liegey is a Fuquay Varina native who has always been a sucker for a small town with a great community! After graduating from Fuquay Varina High School, Becca continued to music and mission programs in Australia and Atlanta with a few different nonprofit organizations. Becca is transitioning out of 10 years of nonprofit work with youth and teens, most recently with the Chapel Hill Carrboro YMCA, and is excited to transition into Parks and Rec, where she hopes to create magic in Mebane.

Becca has always found that people are what makes the world such a wonderful place, and she is dedicated to creating programs and services that support those in any community she is in. She believes that safe, fulfilling, inclusive spaces should be accessible for all and loves to bring fun, creativity, and connection to every aspect of the spaces she inhabits. She hopes to bring her experience, teachable spirit, and creative mind to Mebane to make it even more positively charming for all who inhabit and visit our town!

She would best describe herself as a bubbly, committed, and passionate person who strives to serve those around her with love and excellence. She is excited to meet new people, champion new programs, and sustain events and programs that have served this community well long before she entered it.

Becca’s family consists primarily of her and her kitten Maisy who love a cozy afternoon reading or binging her current tv show of choice. She enjoys anything that has to do with water whether that be a pool, beach, or lake and being with her friends any chance she gets.
