Lindsey Chinni

Lindsey Chinni moved her husband and two sons onto her family’s 200-year-old farm just outside of Mebane in 2017, promptly adding nine chickens and a few thousand bees the following spring. Lindsey has been practicing her version of homesteading ever since, diving into mushroom farming, vegetable and small fruit gardening, raising meat birds and beef cows, and canning and baking for her family and community. After five years as a vendor at the Downtown Mebane Farmers Market, she now serves as the market coordinator.

A University of Central Florida graduate, Lindsey spent several years teaching high school before diving headfirst into agriculture. Her passion for education carries over into her day-to-day life on the homestead, leading her to try all sorts of new things in the dirt and help others discover the value of local agriculture. She endeavors to bring that spirit to the community through unique programming and activities geared toward families who frequent the farmers market.

Lindsey is a proud member of the Alamance County Beekeepers, Got to Be NC, and Visit NC Farms. You can find Lindsey bouncing around the farmers market almost every Saturday morning. Any other day, when she’s not stewarding her little plot of land and all of its inhabitants, you can usually spot her cheering on her boys at a local baseball field.
