Mebane has a City Council and City Manager form of government. Similarly, both Alamance and Orange Counties have a Board of Commissioners with a County Manager.
Scheduled meetings of the Mebane City Council are held on the first Monday of each month. In the event that the regularly scheduled meeting falls on a City observed holiday, the meeting will be rescheduled for the second Monday of the month. Meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. and are held at:
