About Us

The Public Utilities Department's mission is to provide the Citizens of Mebane with clean, safe reliable water and to collect wastewater in a manner that protects public health and the environment. We strive to render the highest standard of customer service and maintain a "Positively Charming" role within the community.

  • Customers having issues with water or sewer service can call the Public Utilities Department between 8am-5pm Monday though Friday at (919) 563-3401.
  • For after hours emergencies call (919) 563-9031.
