MEBANE – Lane closures will be installed overnight throughout this week as part of the ongoing project
to improve the Interstate 40/85 interchange at Mebane Oaks Road.
Crews plan to close one lane in each direction between mile markers 153 and 155 starting at 8 p.m. each
night, then close additional lanes so three lanes in each direction can be closed from midnight until 6 a.m. The final closure will be lifted Sunday morning.
These closures will allow crews to safely shift traffic for the interchange improvements project.
Drivers should slow down when approaching the Mebane Oaks Road interchange at nighttime this week
and be mindful of crews working close to the travel lanes in this area.
