New Online Permit Portal

As of 2023, the City of Mebane Inspection Department will be using a new web portal system provided by iWorQ. You can use the features of our new online portal to apply for several types of permits, including those for zoning, trades, signs, and residential and commercial properties. You can also pay for permits electronically, keep track of your permit's progress during the review process, and see the outcomes of inspections. We welcome your calls, emails, and visits during business hours if you have any questions. Together, you all help to keep Mebane positively charming.

Access our online portal here!

Online plan reviews are now permitted by the City of Mebane. Here, you can submit and pay for plans for commercial buildings. Plans will not be reviewed unless the fees associated with the review are paid. Plans must be resubmitted if fees are not paid within 30 days of submission, or they expire and must be paid again. Comments will be returned by the Inspections Department within 21 days of payment. Please call Richard Allred, our plan reviewer, at 919-563-9990 if you have any questions or concerns
