The Stage I Voluntary Conservation under the Water Shortage Response Plan is officially lifted. The Graham—Mebane Water Treatment Plant is operating at 100% to supply water to Mebane and has returned to full Duke Energy primary power.

The Mebane Emergency Operations Center (EOC) officially closed Friday at 5 p.m., and the (919) 304-9235 number will no longer be active.
 If you need to report storm damage or have any questions or concerns, please call the Mebane Police Department at (919) 563-9031.

*The Old Rec Gymnasium is closed through August 2026 due to facility renovations*

The Old Rec Gymnasium Hours:

  • When rented to the public or programming is provided by the City of Mebane
  • Pickleball Play is allowed from 8:00am to 8:00pm
  • Volleyball Courts are open until 9:00 pm
  • Tennis Courts are open until 10:00pm

Amenities and activities

The Old Rec is home to the oldest indoor basketball court in Alamance county.  Along with the gymnasium, this facility houses Mebane’s historical museum and the Mebane Train Room.  The gymnasium is available to rent for basketball practices, birthday parties, and other needs by the community.
