Youth Basketball

• Registration opens August 1st for returning players from the previous season
• Registration opens August 15th for new players who are Mebane residents
• Registration opens September 1st for new players who are non-residents
• Registration ends when the program is full or on October 15th

Teams will practice twice per week until the start of games -- typically Monday-Thursday evenings or Saturday mornings.

Once games begin, teams typically play 1-2 games per week and may have 1 practice per week. Games are played Monday-Thursday evenings.

5-15 years old (as of January 1, 2026)  

• Coaches Meeting and Team Assignment: Late October
• Practices Start: Early November
• Games Start: Early December 

• Resident: $20 (2nd Child - $15, 3rd Child - $10)
• Non Resident: $50 (2nd Child - $45, 3rd Child - $40)

• Mebane Arts and Community Center
• Mebane Recreation Center (Old Rec) - Practices only
• Eastern Alamance High School Auxiliary Gym - Practices only
• Woodlawn Middle School - Practices only

Some age groups may play in the Metro League and play games in Mebane, Burlington, Gibsonville or Graham.

The City will provide:

• Reversible jerseys to each player
• All practice equipment needed for coaches - basketballs, whistles, cones, etc.

Players will need to purchase:

• Gym shoes with non-marking soles
• Shorts or athletic pants
• Water bottle
