Youth Softball

Registration

  • Spring Softball:
    -Registration opens January 1st for returning players from the previous season
    -Registration opens January 15th for new players who are Mebane residents
    -Registration opens February 1st for new players who are non-residents
    -Registration ends when the program capacity is reached or on April 15th; whichever occurs first

 

  • Fall Softball (8U/11U); Team Registration Only:
    -Only 8U and 11U will be offered; 5 team maximum per age group
    -Registration opens July 1st for Teams that played with Mebane Recreation in the Spring
    -Registration opens July 15th for any Team
    -Registration ends when the 5 team maximum is reached for that age division
    -All Players Must Join the Waitlist: Whether you're already on a team or still looking for one, you must add yourself to the waitlist.
    -Players already on a roster that has been submitted by a coach, will receive an invite to register. You MUST complete registration to be eligible to play.
    -Players not on a team may be contacted if space becomes available on existing rosters.

Ages

  • Spring Softball:
    -6-13 years old (as of May 1 of the playing year)
  • Fall Sofball:
    -7-11 years old (as of May 1 of the playing year)

Dates

  • Spring Softball:
    -Practices Start: Early March
    -Games Start: Early April
  • Fall Softball
    -Practices Start: Late July
    -Games Start: Early September

Fees

  • Spring/Fall Softball:
    -Resident: $20 (2nd Child - $15, 3rd Child - $10)
    -Non Resident: $50 (2nd Child - $45, 3rd Child - $40)

Frequency

Spring Softball:
Teams will practice twice per week until the start of games -- typically Monday-Thursday evenings or Saturday mornings.

Once games begin, teams typically play 1-2 games per week and may have 1 practice per week. Games are played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Fall Softball:
Teams may practice twice per week, 1 weekday and 1 weekend practice until the start of games.

Games will be played on Saturday mornings beginning in September. Teams may practice once a week once games begin.

Location

Mebane Arts & Community Center Baseball/Softball Complex

Teams may play in the Metro League and travel to Burlington, Gibsonville, or Graham for league games
